In a speech in Washington, Trump said his announcement marked the beginning of a new approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Netanyahu, in a pre-recorded video message, said that any peace deal with the Palestinians must include Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and he urged other countries to follow the U.S. lead by also moving their embassies to the city.

WOW!!! MAZAL TOV!!! Thank you from every caring Jew and every sensible American, to this great friend of Israel, the only president in US history so committed to treating our great ally, Israel, with the respect she deserves! And to yonasonw, yamsar, hashomer, and all the other Jew haters and neturei karta filth, I say: EAT YOUR HATEFUL HEARTS OUT!!! Israel lives forever, despite your hate, and President Trump is the only president to keep his promises, especially this one, and his huge success so far in raising our economy, soaring stock market, tax cuts, and protecting American security at all costs, proves that you imbecile liberals are on the wrong side of history!!!! What a great day!!!!!

And the lying libs and dems kept sg president Trump was an anti Semite! What liars and fools they are, oh, and didn’t they scream on this website that he’d never keep his promise to move the embassy??! Wasn’t that you, yonason/hashomer/all your other screen names????? LOL! Just knowing how you’re eating your words, and no doubt seething about this great move for Israel by our magnificent president, is almost as great in satisfaction as the move itself!!!!

People are drunk here. Its beyond amazing! Zionism is alive and well and dual loyalty is unfortunately real. May H eradicate the sinful regime of Zionism and send Mashiach speedily.

I am not sure what this accomplished. All other embassies will remain in Tel Aviv and no other country recognizes this.

Everyone seemed to have missed that it was President Clinton who announced the move of the Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem back in 1995 and that it would happen before 1999. Built into that was a waiver that the move could be deferred for 6 months due to security concerns. Every President since then has signed the waiver EVERY SIX MONTHS since then. All Trump did was not sign the waiver for something put into motion 22 years ago.
Despite that, it will take years to move (read: build a new) embassy in Jerusalem, and will therefore require Trump to once again sign the waiver until then!

To #13 - In fact, Russia recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, in April, 2017.

So this is going to help how exactly? Seems the Americans gave something to the Israelis and the Israelis gave nothing to the Americans.
