U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday reversed decades of U.S. policy and recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In the statement carried by the U.S. SITE monitoring group, the Yemen-based AQAP said Trump’s decision was the result of what it said were “normalization steps” between some Gulf Arab countries and Israel.

“It is also a clear challenge to the Muslim world that sees the centrality of the Palestinian cause,” the group said. “In the face of this serious events, we stand by our people in Palestine and support them with all we possess.”

Addressing Islamist militants, the group called on them to close ranks to be ready to support Palestinians and urged Muslims to help with money and weapons.

“If you do not move, God forbid, then tomorrow the holiest of places and the Muslims’ Qiblah, Mecca, will be sold and you will find then no one to defend it,” it said.

The AQAP, which was formed in 2009 by the merger of al Qaeda’s Saudi and Yemeni branches, is regarded by the United States as one of the most dangerous groups of the network founded by Osama bin Laden.

The United States has repeatedly carried out drone strikes on members and leaders of the group, which makes remote areas in southern Yemen as its main base.

What a great time for not only jews but all peace loving people around the world. Justice reigns with Mr. Trump as president, he defies all the Anti Semitic, and anti America naysayers around the world, with bold courage, strength and a determination to right the many, many wrongs that liberals, haters and even uncourageous republican leaders have heaped on the world. Mr. Trump strives to do what’s right, what’s good, what benefits America, NOT appease and give in to the blackmail and threats of our enemies, terrorists, that Obama y”s and his fellow dems do and encourage. What a remarkable change in our US policy, one welcomed by all sane, peace loving and patriotic Americans as well as people world wide. Anyone who can stand there and not acknowledge the tremendous accomplishments he has already managed to make during his short time so far in office, is either a liar, or a hypocritical and dishonest lib/both.

Al-Qaeda is not alone in its opposition to Trump. Jewish Liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi is not happy about this either. Strange bedfellows… or not!

I’m glad the US govt has finally recognized the reality since 1948 that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital city. When any foreign leader needs to go to Israel’s capital they have always gone to Jerusalem. Every country’s embassy is always in the capital. Somehow Israel is the one exception. But with the haredi not recognizing Israel, why should the Goyim recognize Jerusalem? Self-haters to the core
