Washington – Democrats crowding the House chamber are letting buttons — and the color of their clothes — send messages.

Many are wearing rectangular lapel buttons that say “TIME’S UP,” a statement against workplace sexual harassment. Several members of Congress have ended their careers lately over harassment allegations, and the buttons were distributed at a morning meeting of Democratic lawmakers.
Some are wearing red buttons that say “RECY.” That is a tribute to Recy Taylor, a black woman from a rural Alabama sharecropping family who was gang-raped by six white men in 1944. No charges were brought despite confessions, but her case became a galvanizing force for the civil rights movement.
Virtually all Democratic women are dressed in black, a show of support for the #MeToo movement.
Yawn. Amazing that this is the best our elected leaders could come up with.
Poor dems they look miserable.
Looks like Pelosi wants to be anywhere but at the SOTU. She looks like a mean old lady. She can’t even clap at the announcement of the lowest unemployment rate in the black community in decades.
What a great speech. Touched on all the major issues. Talked about unity but Pelosi and her people just sat on her hands.

I am a lifelong democrat and I am embarrassed how my party behaved tonight. The nation doesn’t need to see them sitting on their hands or playing on their cell phones while the president is speaking and even booing the president at one point. I would imagine the American people were turned off by this and this s is why I am afraid they won’t win in 2020.

Funny this comes right after news that Hillary didn’t fire a sexual harassing faith advisor uring her first campaign even after her advisors recommended firing him he went on to sexual harass more and was fired for it from a group working for her second campaign
Why does Trump needs bipartisan support for any of his policies — he has both houses of congress. If his immigration proposals were based on fact his Republican colleagues would support them as well.
