Speaking at the start of their meeting in the Kremlin, Putin told Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that he was just off the phone with Trump.

“Naturally, we spoke about the Palestinian-Israeli settlement,” he said. “I would like to convey to you his best wishes.”

Abbas responded that the Palestinians don’t want to cooperate with the United States as a sponsor of the peace process, but welcome multilateral cooperation.

Trump honored a campaign promise in December by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and vowing to relocate the U.S. Embassy there.

The move outraged Palestinians and others across the Muslim world. Palestinian leaders have said it means that Washington can no longer serve as a Mideast peace broker.

“We refuse to cooperate with the Americans as co-sponsors,” Abbas told Putin in remarks carried by Russian news agencies. “President Trump again surprised us. His decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and consider Jerusalem the capital of Israel was like a slap in our face.”

Abbas was quoted as saying he wanted an expanded new mediation mechanism to replace the Middle East Quartet.

“For instance, ‘the quartet’ plus some other countries like the model used to achieve the deal on Iran,” Abbas said, referring to international talks about Tehran’s nuclear program.

Abbas and his allies were left furious in December when U.S. President Donald Trump reversed decades of U.S. policy to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and set in motion the process of moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv.

As Toxic Turnip’s disastrous presidency contiues to shrink America’s power and importance in the world, tyrants like Tsar Pootin and Red China’s Xi will fill the gap. The US has lost standing everywhere, in 13 ugly months. And wait till the Mueller investigation rolls in soon. MAKE AMERICA GROPE AGAIN!

“Abbas responded that the Palestinians don’t want to cooperate with the United States as a sponsor of the peace process”

Laughable another page in the Arafat play book. They never miss a opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Don’t kid yourself guys Abbas doesn’t want a peace deal at all. They want from to sea to sea. The two state solution or pre 1967 border is baloney. Its a game. And meanwhile they want jewish blood.

Why would America have any role at all? America is now simply an Israeli puppet. Why would there be a need at the table for someone who simply says what they are told to say?

Yes OF COURSE abbass y’s would LOVE the type of deal Obama handed Iran! A license to build nukes, $140 billion secret gift in the dead of night, and ignoring all their violations of the deal! That’s exactly the type of deal abbass loves!
