New York – The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) labeled a syndicated cartoon by Pat Oliphant appearing today in newspapers across the country and on the Internet as “hideously anti-Semitic” because of its use of Nazi-like imagery and hateful evocation of the Jewish Star of David.

The cartoon portrays a headless, jack-booted figure marching in a goose step with a sword in one hand and pushing a Star of David on a wheel with the other. The Jewish Star has fangs and is chasing after a woman carrying a child, labeled “Gaza.”
Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, issued the following statement:
Pat Oliphant’s outlandish and offensive use of the Star of David in combination with Nazi-like imagery is hideously anti-Semitic. It employs Nazi imagery by portraying Israel as a jack-booted, goose-stepping headless apparition. The implication is of an Israeli policy without a head or a heart.
Israel’s defensive military operation to protect the lives of its men, women and children who are being continuously bombarded by Hamas rocket attacks has been turned on its head to show the victims as heartless, headless aggressors.
here we go again, we are still in gulis

So, what else is new? The guy probably got paid handsomely for it by the enemies of Israel.
And you expect anything better from the Jew-hating goyishe media? Nothing new under the sol.

Pat Oliphant Caricatures Racist and Misleading
ADC Communicates Concerns, Will You?
Washington DC, January 13—Today the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) wrote to the San Francisco Chronicle and Universal Press Syndicate to communicate concern over racist depictions of Arabs in caricatures by Pat Oliphant. In recent weeks, ADC received numerous complaints from readers and concerned citizens regarding Oliphant’s cartoons.
On January 8, an especially offensive cartoon was published in the San Francisco Chronicle, which implied that Arabs are unconcerned with the Tsunami disaster and are inhumane. The caricature draws on false stereotypes and reinforces negative views of Arabs. To view this cartoon, click here.
In the letter, ADC outlined its concerns, stating that the caricature is highly misleading because the Arab world has made substantial contributions to the Tsunami relief effort.
The ramifications of this type of ‘cartoon’ combined with the false stereotypes that Oliphant perpetuates, are tantamount to fueling further mistrust and bitterness towards the Muslim and Arab worlds. It should also be noted that Oliphant has a history of cultural stereotyping in his caricatures. To view letter sent by ADC click – Letter1 and Letter2.
The response ADC received from Lee Salem, Editor and Executive President of United Press Syndicate did not address the issue of using racism in caricatures. In fact, Salem seems to think using racism is fine, as he wrote, “And, as you note, he (Oliphant) frequently utilizes caricatures to make his points, as do most editorial cartoonists, who wish their opinion to be grasped quickly and, often, viscerally.”
If you would like to express your concern about Pat Oliphant’s racist and misleading cartoons, ADC has prepared a letter that you may use to express your concern. To take action click here.
Looks like it came from Der Sturmer. Did Oliphant dram for them too?
Everyone should excercise their free speech rights and send letters to the editors of the papers that publish this drek. Of course, the letters should be calm, articulate, grammatically correct and thoughtful (unlike some comments on VIN) to improve the chances of getting published.
remember what the muslims did when the Anti-muhamed cartoon came out in 06?
now that was a reaction
maybe we should learn from them!
Hi does anybody know an email address of the company he works for so we can have an organized campaign to FIRE NOW THIS TERRIBLE ANTI-SEMITE,HATEMONGER. If he would done this hatefull despicable character against any other people of the world,he would have LOST HIS OCCUPATION Right away. If WE SLEEP NOW AND DONT DO ANYTHING,Then anti-semitism may g-d forbid spread. JEWS WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TO LATE. THIS IS HOW IT STARTED IN nazi GErmany.
The cartoonist with Oliphantitist is trying to stir up as many people and groups as he could with vulgar and anti Semitic garbage so that the general public will buy the newspaper rags that carry his drech. Most of those newspapers have been downsizing and this is the only way this idiot can keep his job!
This cartoonist has been at this for years. No news here.
Why the surprise? Oliphant has been well-known as an antisemite for at least 20 years that I remember.
To #1 : This cartoon is not even slightly funny. It’s pure antisemitism, and it should be condemned. People should know not to do business with Oliphant, and those in a position to influence media companies should try to get them not to publish his work.
This is very different from the “I Need A Jew” hoo-ha and similar incidents, where people protest something that is a) genuinely funny, and b) meant in a good spirit. This cartoon is neither of those things.
This is the first time I agree with Mr. Foxman. However I am more concerned with the false message the cartoon gives, that Israe is the cause for Gaza’s misery. Where in the cartoon are the Kassam rockets falling on Israel.
Anyone interested in expressing yourselves it might count

His wife is Susan Conway and they have an art gallery in Santa Fe which looks like they are running out of their house. They also have a gallery in DC.
The culprit is not the mouse – it is the mouse hole. (Lav achbera ganev etc…).
It id not Oliphant who is “scary”, it is the fact that he knows that such a cartoon will be appreciated by many.
It is not (necessarily) Obama who is “scary”. It is the way he rose so rapidly while shrouded in cloud. What an open mouse hole he drove a truck through.
