    The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning Monday as a long line of storms moves through. Over an inch of rain has fallen with up to 2 inches of rain is expected with locally heavier amounts.

    The weather service alert was issued for NYC; Orange, Richmond, Kings and Rockland counties in southeastern New York; and Hudson, Passaic, Union, Bergen and Essex counties in northeastern New Jersey.

    The warning is in effect until 11:15 a.m. and a coastal flood advisory remains active until 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
