    In late 1971, then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger met secretly with Chinese officials, including Chou En Lai, prior to Richard Nixon meeting with him in February, 1972, as well as with Mao Tse Tung. However, this meeting will be more historic, since the USA and China were formerly allies during World War Two. In contrast, the USA has never had any relations with North Korea.
