New York – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday called the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy that has separated children from their parents at the southern U.S. border “a moral and humanitarian crisis.”

Speaking at an awards lunch for the Women’s Forum of New York, Clinton said what was happening to families at the U.S.-Mexico border is “horrific.”
“Every human being with a sense of compassion and decency should be outraged,” Clinton said.
The separations stem from a policy that turns all cases of people trying to enter the country illegally over for criminal prosecution. Children are not detained with their parents when those parents are facing a criminal charge, as per U.S. protocol.
President Donald Trump has defended the policy, which has taken nearly 2,000 immigrant children away from their parents.
“The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” he added. “Not on my watch,” Trump said Monday.
Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, said she had warned during the campaign that Trump’s hard-line immigration stance would result in family separations.
“Now as we watch with broken hearts, that’s exactly what’s happening,” she said.
The policy has come under increasingly strong criticism, with accounts of children kept in cages and parents not knowing where their children are.
Trump has falsely blamed Democrats, and his administration has echoed his stance by claiming it was enforcing the law, with some using the Bible as religious justification.
Clinton pushed back on all of those points, saying the separations are required by no law and grounded in no religion.
“The test of any nation is how we treat the most vulnerable among us,” she said. “We are a better country than one that tears families apart.”
If anyone has to worry about causing a moral crisis,it’s the Clintons.

I just can’t look at kids being held in holding pens for the sin of their parents coming into the USA ileagaly in search of a better life. All of our grandparents came into the USA legally or not. There’s got to be a better way. Jews have a moral obligation to sympathize with these folks.
I am a staunch trump supporter as you all know . And I despise Hillary . But I am conflicted on this issue . We need to have compassion for all Aside for Muslims . Latinos are generally fine good people . I feel for them .
On the other hand too many are taking advantage of the system . I think many come here bec they get free money thanks to the liberals and their silly social programs . They know the govt will have piety on kids . They all get food stamps wic free health care . And they use their kids as an excuse . I don’t buy that they come here to flee persecution. So it’s a conflicting feeling
First of all who knows the children that they are bringing to the US are their kids. Can these people prove that these are the children of the people who are passing through the border. Can as other times, children are abducted and taken here to have an excuse as ,see poor me and my children, need help and these are not their children they just had been taken from the village they came from and used as pawns in a game. As you see it is working, poor people separated from the kids that are not theirs, nebachs.
Anyone who cannot feel the pain pf a child forcibly separated from their parents, or the pain of a parent separated from their child should have their yichus checked, as our Chazal say that the siman of a Yid is that we are reachamonim bnai rachamonim. Hillary Clinton preaching morality?? She was the one who with her team, attacked , and discredited all of the women, who brought sexual misconduct charges against her perverted husband. Essentially, she enabled Bill Clinton to continue with his sick, perverted ways, as she permitted him to get away with that conduct.

To all of you!! Have you all forgotten so quickly what happened to us over 70 years ago? These children could have been us!! It could have been a repeat performance!! My late mother z”l , her entire family witha few exceptions were wiped out. I see these children being torn away from their parents and I see Nazi Germany and Vichy France all over again!! You have to have a heart. a Jewish heart and feel some rachmunus on these kids. I do not know if I can vote for Trump again! Not until this is straightened out!! These kids must be returned to their parents FAST!!
