The flag was put by unknown Nazi sympathizers, probably in order to mark the 120th anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s birth. The swastika has been put on a chimney some 180 feet above the ground.

Police teams approached the site but found an object next to the flag that they fear might be an explosive device. The police climber that initially was supposed to take the flag down saw little boxes with wires going out of them on the rope that holds the flag.

The police command in the District is currently debating how to remove the flag that has been waving above Pazardzhik since Monday morning.
