Trump, 72, was being put through a round of medical tests at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in the Washington suburb of Bethesda, Maryland, to determine his weight, cholesterol, blood pressure and other health factors.

Little more than a year ago, Trump’s doctor declared him to be in “excellent health.” But the president was directed to try to lose 10 to 15 pounds (4.5 to 6.8 kg) by eating better and starting to exercise,

Aides said he now eats more fish than he used to but still enjoys steaks, well done with ketchup on the side, and fried potatoes prepared by the chefs at the White House and at the Trump International Hotel in Washington. Trump also has long had a well-documented fondness for fast food.

Trump has admitted that he has not hewn closely to his diet plan. Nor has he been known to enter the White House gym for a workout.

“The president received a diet and exercise plan last year after his annual physical, but the president admits he has not followed it religiously,” said White House spokesman Hogan Gidley.

At last year’s physical, Trump weighed 239 pounds (108 kg) at last year’s physical. His resting heart rate was 68 beats per minute (bpm), his blood pressure was 122/74, and his total cholesterol was 223 (HDL 67, LDL 143).

In last year’s exam, a stress test found above-average exercise capacity and a cognitive assessment was normal.

Trump daily takes a 10 mg dose of Crestor to lower cholesterol, 81 mg of aspirin for cardiac health, and 1 mg of Propecia for prevention of male pattern hair loss.

Trump has not followed his exercise regimen (as recommended by his Physician, Admiral Jackson) at all, even though there is plenty of exercise equipment on the third floor of the White House. His calcium deposits in his arteries were over 100, which is not a good sign. Not only didn’t he lose weight since last year, he undoubtedly has gained weight. If one looks at tapes of him in 2016 during the campaign, and looks at him now, there is no doubt that he has gained weight. It is not healthy for a 72.5 year old man to be carrying around that extra blubber, and not to exercise. Also, the junk food which he eats, must be eliminated now. I can’t understand why Melania can’t get him to change his diet, and lack of exercise?

To Archy (who does not appear to be very well educated)- Hey, Archy, you made the exact same dumb comment, when I posted an identical posting a few months back. You can’t seem to get through your thick skull, that statistically, a 72.5 year old man, who is overweight, does not eat right, and does not exercise, is playing Russian roulette with his health. The reason that I care, is that I don’t want to see Mike Pence become President, in case Trump becomes incapacitated. I can’t stand Mike Pence, as he is exceedingly boring. Trump must cut out the cheeseburgers, french fries, steaks, and other chazarie, that he stuffs down. His own daughter Ivanka, stated nearly three years ago, that she wants to see her Father eat more healthy foods. A Secret Service Agent remarked, that he never saw Trump eating any fruit. I remember back in 1955, when Ike had a massive heart attack, and was incapacitated. Ike had been a chain smoker. While Trump doesn’t smoke, his overeating, eating junk food, and lack of exercise, is just as dangerous. His former Physician, Admiral Jackson, was useless in not ensuring that Trump exercised, and ate better.

To #6 -Archy- I was not mocking Trump, you fool; I was just stating the facts, which evidently, you don’t wish to hear. You have blindfolds on; not once, in all of the years that you’ve been posting on this site, have you ONCE admitted that you could possibly be wrong about anything. In this case, the facts are crystal clear. Admiral Ronnie Jackson, who was Trump’s personal physician stated that Trump had to lose weight, at a televised news conference in January, 2018, more than a year ago, and that Trump had to exercise and eat healthier. Trump defied his own Physician, whom he publicly praised, as he gained weight, and has continued to eat junk food, and not exercise. Therefore, would you also characterize Admiral Jackson as “a two year old, silly, and immature”. You just don’t have any seichel, Arch, and never will! Case closed!
