Miki Haimovich of the Blue and White Party also suggested that all of the seats in the Knesset plenum be changed.

Haimovich said in a letter to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein that she would be willing to pay to switch her chair, which she thought should look like the other surrounding chairs. She asked that the switch take place by the end of the Knesset’s summer recess in October.

In the past, two other Knesset members have asked that their chairs be changed but were rejected, the Jerusalem Post reported. At least one other current Knesset member, Meretz Party head Tamar Zandberg, is a vegan.

New Knesset members on Monday attended an orientation program at the parliament building in Jerusalem. This year there are 49 first-time members of the 120-member body. The head of the new Blue and White party, Benny Gantz, did not attend the orientation,

The 21st Knesset will be sworn in on Tuesday afternoon and will be followed by the first regular plenary session. The new Knesset session will begin officially after Israel’s Independence Day on May 9, according to the Jerusalem Post. A toast to the new Knesset also will be held.

Wonderful that the most pressing issue for this new member of Knesset is what chair she sits on. She knew what the chair upholstery is when she sought peoples’ votes. If she doesn’t like leather chairs she shouldn’t have stood for election. There is no “heard it all” when it comes to these psychiatric cases.

I admire her for Her position. It is one thing If someone eats meat…..this is for sustenance, but to slaughter animals for their hide, disgusts me. When I buy a new car I always order it with fabric seats.

And if someone answers that the animal is already slaughtered for food, I will say, that nevertheless, I don’t want to sit on a dead animal.

We are supposed to be compassionate people, why don’t we extend this compassion to animals.

glad that the B/W party did not win what with this nut case who knows what the rest of us would suffer.

BTW, I hope she does not use any wooden things since trees were cut down to make them and just because you can not hear the trees scream in pain when they are cut down and slaughtered for human pleasure does not mean that they do not suffer.
BTW same with eating carrots and potatoes etc, they also suffer when pulled out of the ground. I hope no one eats any of these; why push suffering to veggies?

(and so on goes the stupidity of the vegans…..)
