Miami Beach, FL – A 49-year-old man was arrested last night in the arson fire at an Orthodox synagogue in Miami Beach.

Mike Bracamonte was charged with burglary and arson in the Wednesday night fire at Temple Moses, (as was reported here on VIN News).
Security cameras had been installed at Temple Moses a day before, and the fire was caught on video. It shows a man smoking a cigarette and then igniting wood in the garage in an apparent attempt to burn the temple above.
Using the image from the surveillance video, Miami Beach Detective Luis Alsina started knocking on doors in the area and talking to confidential informants to see if anyone recognized the man.
He was able to identify Bracamonte as a possible suspect, police said, and went to speak with him at his apartment.
Police say Bracamonte admitted to being the man in the video, but denied starting the fire.
Members of the synagogue at 1200 Normandy Dr. say they will take part in regular services Friday evening.
We should all congratulate the Miami Beach Police Department for doing a great detective job and quickly capturing this evil man. May the Almighty bless the MBPD to catch those that would hurt the Yidden of Miami Beach !!! Good job !

I think he worked for the caterer. One of the caterer’s employees followed my daughter once when she was coming out of the office. The illegal aliens from South America that the caterer hired ruined the place because it felt too unsafe to go.
This man is my brother and he happens to be mentally ill, people should have a little more compassion for the mentally challenged in this world. I am sorry for what he has done, it is horrible, but be thankfull that no one was hurt. Pray that he will finially get the help that he needs to improve his mental state.
