Staten Island, NY – Staten Island University Hospital honored its valued volunteers during a recognition ceremony held in the Renaissance, Grant City. More than 220 volunteers were feted for their unending commitment in assisting the hospital medical staff and in providing care to patients.

Anthony C. Ferreri, University Hospital president and CEO, said the hospital would be unable to perform its duties in the face of so many needs to meet in the community without the hard work and dedication of its volunteers.
Special Recognition Awards were presented to Bikur Cholim, an organization that assists Jewish patients by continuing to connect them to their heritage and religious practices.
