Washington – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a point of reminding a conference of Christian Zionists that Israel permits conversions to Christianity, just weeks after his department reported on the difficulties converts face there.

Pompeo, speaking Monday to the annual Washington summit of Christians United For Israel, drew a contrast between Israel and its neighbors.

“Modern Israel is the only truly free nation throughout the entire Middle East,” he said. “No country is perfect, but Israel, like America, holds itself to an incredibly high standard. Israel is a majority Jewish nation, but the government doesn’t force Jewish beliefs on others.”

The annual State Department religious freedom report, released June 21, noted that some Jews in Israel “oppose missionary activity directed at Jews” and noted a handful of 2018 attacks on suspected missionaries and Christian religious sites.

“Visiting high-level U.S. government officials, including the Vice President, met with government officials, religious groups, and civil society leaders to stress the importance of tolerance and dialogue and ways to reduce religiously motivated violence,” the report said. The inclusion of such criticisms is routine and has featured in the Israel section of the report for years.

The same day Pompeo spoke, Akiva Tor, an Israel Foreign Ministry official, mildly criticized the State Department report, the Times of Israel reported.

State’s religious freedoms report “doesn’t always get it completely right because the U.S. system and the Israeli system are so different,” Tor said.

Pompeo is convening the second annual Religious Freedoms Ministerial next week in Washington, drawing counterparts from around the world to discuss ways of advancing religious freedoms. Yisrael Katz, Israel’s foreign minister, is expected to attend.

WOW. This is what the goy Pomposity promises to his evangelical audience about Israel. All they want is to convert Jews, not to support the Jewish State. Nothing new here.

Converting the Jews is all part of their plan to bring on the End Times and stuff. Why do you think Christians are big Zionists?

Jews accepting that man they worship is required for him to return according to their belief and after that there’s a huge war and he comes back. Converting non believers is as important to Christians as it is to Moslems, and both in times past resorted to the sword to force conversions..

Israel permits? Whos Israel? Israel is a State that was founded on the grounds of atheism. What do they or dont they permit? Its a sad one but unfortunately they dont care. It doesnt affect them as the Zionists are non practicing Jews anyway. But one thing; A jew can never convert. Hes stuck. Even an atheist. He’l get his chailek up there.

Educated people have always understood the poison at the core of the Evangelical candy. Only Trump Chumps and others challanged with poorly developed minds don’t understand when they are being played for fools.
