Bulldozers accompanied by hundreds of Israeli soldiers and police moved in to Sur Baher, a Palestinian village on the edge of East Jerusalem in an area that Israel captured and occupied in the 1967 Middle East War.

Palestinians fear that the razing of village buildings near the fence will set a precedent for other towns along the route of the barrier, which runs for hundreds of kilometers around and through the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The pending demolition is the latest round of protracted wrangling over the future of Jerusalem, home to more than 500,000 Israelis and 300,000 Palestinians, and sites sacred to Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

Israel’s Supreme Court ruled in June that the structures violated a construction ban. The deadline for residents to remove the buildings expired on Friday.

Let’s set the tge record sriraght for the nutties like Paulin and my anti Israel trump ranter.

The supreme courts in Israel are known to be huge liberals . They are the ones that make lots of oroblems for Bibi and frum Jews. Yet they ruled these structures were built illegally . They had no right to be built .

Furthermore, this is not being knocked down to build settlements in occupied territories. It’s getting knocked down to protect the city of Jerusalem where 500k yidden live . I know you don’t believe it . But border walls really do save lives and hinder terrorist activities.

May these Palestinians be smitten with yena machla
