Albany, NY – Senate Republicans say they might file criminal and ethics charges against Sen. Kevin Parker, the violence-prone Democrat who allegedly threatened a GOP lawyer.

“We’re looking at both those possibilities,” GOP spokesman John McArdle told The Post.
Attorney John Conway, 59, said he was on the Senate floor when Parker, who faces felony assault charges for allegedly attacking a Post photographer last month, sought to disrupt a GOP-controlled proceeding that Democrats considered illegal.
“He said to me, ‘What are you looking at, punk? Do you know who I am and don’t you read the newspaper, punk?’ ” said Conway.
Parker admitted using harsh words, but said he didn’t threaten Conway.
Meanwhile, a Senate source said Parker is close to cutting a deal with the Brooklyn DA that would reduce the felony charge to a misdemeanor and require Parker to take anger-management classes.
A spokesman for the DA said no deal is in the works.
If Parker takes the anger management class again he’ll know the course well enough to teach it. What a disappointment as a Senator. He should have pursued a career as a pugilist.
Anger management my foot…the man needs to serve some time behind bars so that maybe if he does have any sense at all he will realize the error of his past actions. The Brooklyn DA needs to get a spine in his body and stand up to people like him or is he just afraid to start with the so -called minorities. Parker is a repeat offender!
To #2 I agree with you. If it had been you or me we would both be behind bars serving hard time!! Why should he get off??
This will be his 2nd time around the classroom. He obviously does not learn. He needs to pay the same price any other citizen would pay – jail time!
He’s actually ageat senator who does many favors for the hiemishe community. He has also earned my respect for giving a traffic drag in the shins what they deserve for harassing innocent people.
