A young man and a young woman were killed on the spot and the third victim died in hospital, the authorities said, and one of those who were wounded was in serious condition.
The gunman, who was dressed in black, unloaded an automatic weapon as he fired on the group of young gay men and lesbians near the entrance of the center, witnesses said, and he then ran away.
No one had been arrested by early Sunday.
The Tel Aviv police chief, Shahar Ayalon, ordered the closing of a nearby gay bar in the city and urged such establishments to remain vigilant.
Leaders of the gay community said they believed that the shooting was a homophobic attack.
oy hashem yeracheim tzaros in klal yisroel
obviously there will be 2 opposite opiniond on what to say on this story
I’m not saying the gunman is not a murderer, but everybody knows that gay and lesbians, especially in our holy land, especially by jews (a jew is always a jew) makes god angry, as rashi says in parshes noach, it kills the good and the bad
BD’E. my heartfelt sympathy to he families of these confused kids
dear power up. I think everyone knows that murder, especially in our holy land, especially by Jews, makes Hashem angry. I think Rashi would have agreed with the logic that if murder is permitted for this, then might it not also be permitted for eating pork, writing on Shabbos, eating food without saying a b’racha? Where does it end? I think our law is pretty clear on the subject – Lo Tirtzach. Three Jews died today and we are all diminished. Period.
Sorry to break it to you, but the Torah is clear about such abominations. Enough said.
a jew is a jew is a jew is a jew
To all of the brainless comments with justification of Torah that will arise on VIN, I want to remind you that not long ago teens at Merkatz Harav were gunned down in the same fashion. Do not start rationalizing hate and murder of other people just because they are gay. Don’t feel less pity because these are just gay teens.
I hope that they catch the murderer and he should be charged with terrorism and hate crime.
And the media report is inaccurate, this was not a gay club but a community center for teenagers who are struggling with identity. They were there for emotional support because their parents and the rest of the world do not understand what they go through in life and cast them as some evil minded creatures.
Three kids died… Very sad… The only good thing I can think of is that they died on Shabbos, they must have had some Zchus…
We do not know who the killer is. He may not even be Jewish, What he did was an act of terrorist murder, gunning down innocent people.
This is an act of terrorism and cheap justifications for murder is never going to work for you.
Please daven for the injured.
Hashem will avenge the blood of the innocent teenagers, regardless of the motive of the murderer, and regardless of the hat he wears.
Anyone that could think of saying that murder is o.k. is morally screwed up. I hope the murderer himself is not like some poster here, crazy enough to think Hashem gets ‘angry’ at gay people and so he could shoot away. I hope it turns out to be an Arab or other non-Jew. I hope we weren’t involved in any way. I can only hope, because it does seem that people that are ‘religious’ don’t see a problem in being selectively so.
jury is still out.
The murderer should be apprehended and these immorality clubs in a Jewish country should be shut.
the torah also says you should be stoned if you break shabbos, dihonor your parents, forget to bring a korbon, and the list goes on and on, these people were no more worth of being killed than everyone on this website for talking during kriyah
Please be aware that many clubs in EY are run by organized crime. Unless otherwise proven, it is proper to assume that this shooting was probably an act of revenge against some party involved with the club, possibly disguised as an anti toeva act so that the real motive would go undiscovered.
Regardless, it is one more sad proof of how far society in EY has fallen.
If the internet had existed at the time when Pinchas killed Zimri, I could just imagine the comments… They would look something like the comments above!
Quoting 22″””No one is advocating the murder of these people. However, the Torah considers acts of homosexuality a capital crime. G-d does not sit idly by when people engage in this evil practice.””””
Quoting 30″””When something like this happens to people who violate capital crimes, it shouldn’t come as such a shock. In absence of a Sanhedrin, Hashem Himself takes care of those who are guilty, as the gemorah in Kesuvos says (as mentioned by Tzoorba before). I know it’s a novel concept for some, but there is a Judge and there is judgment (iss din ve’iss Dayon). Hashem punishes sinners, some sooner than later. If you engage in risky activities such as mountain climbing, sky diving, etc. and then get killed, no one scratches their heads and says, “How could this happen???” Kain hadovor hazeh.””””””
This is the most retarded rationalization for the death of innocent teenagers I ever seen. This is classic a example of how holier than though religious attitude works.
Do you guys need to be reminded of the numerous times when God “didn’t sit idle”, as one of you puts it, when it came to terrorists murdering yeshiva bachurs learning halacha all day long? I can also come up with most vile and irrational explanations as to why God would get “angry” with frum Jews learning Torah in shuls and getting gunned down. Ohh, I forgot just because some” brilliant” “Gadol” once said that earthquakes are caused by gays, it must be true.
Question: The article did nor did the video (unless I didn’t hear or read correctly) never said the murder was Jewish. Could it be a nazi living in Israel? Could it be a religious Jew? Yes/no. Dressing in black does not mean that the murderer is a religious Jew whey do people assume this?
