Krakow, Poland – Poland’s chief rabbi, Michael Schudrich, was punched and sprayed with what appeared to be pepper spray Shabbos afternoon by an unidentified man in downtown Warsaw, but escaped without injuries from what police said may have been an anti-Semitic attack.

Rabbi Schudrich was heading to Warsaw’s main synagogue with a group of people when a young man yelled out “Poland for Poles!” so the Rabbi approached the gentleman to ask him why he said such things and his reaction was to punch him in the chest. “I was going to hit him back, but before I had a chance to hit him he sprayed me with some kind of spray – maybe pepper spray,” the Rabbi said.
He said his eyes still burned from the spray but that he was otherwise uninjured.
The man, who quickly fled, was being sought by police, said Interior Ministry spokesman Tomasz Sklodowski. An image of the attacker’s face was drafted with the help of witnesses and distributed to police throughout the city, he said. “We’re treating this as a possible anti-Semitic provocation, although it may have simply been an act of hooliganism,” Sklodowski said.

The new cardinal of Poland used to be the last popes right hand. His name Dzevish, promised to help the Jews in Poland reclaim cemeteries and other holy sites.
The pope said to the delegation that he wants this to be the beginning of removing anti-semtism in the world. And to show that people of all faiths can work together to make the world a better place.
The pope also gave papal medals to the Israeli ambassador, rabbi Gluck, rabbi Shudrich, rabbi Keller and to the head of the Jewish council.

Oh yes, thats what we have all been saying, that R’ Shudrich is the genius with all the ansmwers about Poland, Yiddishkiet and the Holocaust.
Not sure I have yet a met a Rav, Rebbe, Rosh Yeshiva, etc.. that feels they are appropriate answering questions for HKB”H.

he just asked at the Auschwitz concentration camp, “Where was God in those days?” when all this happened to the Jews by the Nazi’s.

I knew Mike Schudich, who got his s’micha from YU, when he lived in Queens some years ago. A good guy, hope he wasn’t injured seriously.
Even if you DON’T approve of something a rabbi does, that’s no justification for something perpetrated by some rotten anti-Semite (bound for Hell when he dies — not all wicked people are necessarily anti-Semites, but ALL anti-Semites are wicked people). The ONLY exception I would make would be if some Arab were to behead one of these idiotic, traitorous Neturi Karta so-called “Orthodox Jews,” who seek to justify another Holocaust at the hands of the Muslims. All of THEM should definitely GET WHACKED.

R’ Shudrich is frum Rav from the US that has spent over the last ten years helping Jews in Poland reclaim their indenty. He keeps Kosher food available for locals and travelers, has Frum minyanim and a fabulous envoy with the Polish gov’t. Not to say that a Yid is Yid.
You go and live and Poland and do something good…..Or better yet, just stay up in Monsey with your head in the sand.
Well he disserves it, this Schudrich is to say Kaddish, during a ceremony led by the pope at the former Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau later Sunday.
If a so-called rabbi, could go together with the pope, he dosn’t disserve better.
