New York – Qwest Communications International Inc. said Tuesday it is telling customers that they have two months to find a new wireless provider as the company shuts down that part of its business.

Qwest announced plans to ditch its wireless unit last year. It is offering customers access to the Verizon Wireless network instead.

The company said there is no termination fee for ending Qwest wireless service and any phone number can be carried over to a new provider before the Oct. 31 cut-off date.
