Beit Shemesh – Chabad School ‘On Strike’ over Principal, Claiming He Hits Children

    26

Beit Shemesh, Israel – While other children across the country were beginning their first day back in class, pupils at a Chabad elementary school in Ramat Beit Shemesh were joined by their parents in a protest over the Education Ministry’s decision to hire a new principal for the institution.

The crowd, which blocked the entrance to the school, was later broken up by police, who arrived on the scene after about an hour.

The parents refuse to allow their children to begin their studies at the school, as long as the new principal, who they say has a history of violence toward children, is employed there.

“This is a principal who has been fired from two other schools in the past for hitting children, and the parents feel he is a danger to their children,” a Chabad representative in Ramat Beit Shemesh told The Jerusalem Post.

“The parents feel as though the Education Ministry is forcing them to accept this man into their school,” he said.

The parents are also upset that the school’s original principal, a Chabad rabbi with 30 years of experience, is no longer working there, and say that they registered their children for the new year with the understanding that he would still be in charge.

“They feel that he is better suited to the job,” the Chabad representative said. “And they have a right to be concerned about this new principal.”
The parents said they are willing to keep their “strike” going as long as it takes to make the Education Ministry change its decision, and that the school’s 300 pupils would find another place in which to continue their studies.

Finally, parents stick up for the children and are protecting them against a principal who has a record of abuse. How many Rabeim do we have in Yeshivas that verbally and physically abuse the kids. The yeshivas “can’t” do anything because they have been with the Yeshivah…. wgat will they do…. It’s about time we realize that if we get rid of one abusive Rebbe we may be able to save the soul of many of our kinderlach. So take a lesson Yeshivas if there is a teacher or Rebbe who is either verbally or physically abusive “get rid of him” get him a job as a cab driver.

There is a rebbe in a particular yeshivah , in the junior high grade , that embarrasses the kids ,…. and has no compunction about insulting them …..making them feel that if they can’t keep up it’s because they are sh’vach…..and it’s too bad. Is this chinuch???.. We must teach our children with love , to do the best they can , talk to them with love and respect and we will accomplish a tremendous amount!!

These rebbeim and teachers should be fired immediately and not rehired by other schools. Enough is enough

A person who hits children has no business in a school. He can ruin these children.
    Kol Hakavod to the parents!

How about the yeshiva I went to,the post-high school American program, where the Rosh Yeshiva, “shlita”, verbally abuses kids mentally and emotionally so badly that some have had nervous breakdowns because of it? Isn’t this just as bad? I should add that he claims he has a heter to do so from the “gedolim” in the name of “hinuch”! And we wonder why so many Yidden are going off the derech…

Without knowing any of the facts, I would propose the assumption, that the person fired was a chabad rabbi that had no real pedagogic education and the person hired to replace him was very well educated but not of the chabad persuasion. Hence they start a grassroots project to recall the chabad individual and cast aspersions on anyone else not from their ilk.

Unfortunately this is the tactics used throughout the chabad world to cast out any non believers and replace with individuals that are molded in their philosophy.

#2 , I implore you to do something about the Rebbe who is insulting chidren. I was a child who was beaten in the third grade and I bear those emotional scars until today. The teacher also emotionally abused me. Don’t stand back and let this happen to even one more child. Lo Taamod Al Dam Reyecha! You must not be afraid to do the right thing. It is Erev Rosh Hashana now is your chance to get a tremendous mitzvah. Of coure you need to have proof of this and not just hearsay, but if you do have the proof you must go ahead and do the right thing. You will know what to do.

I remember a rebbe hitting a child of 6 or 7 years old, the kid got nebech so messed up that later on in life he couldn’t find a shidduch and ended up going to prison, every time I think of that kid i blame myself for letting that happen to him, for not standing up and fighting back.

these children are diamonds!! if you had a precious diamond in your hands you wouldnt throw it around -ud guard it with all your might! these children need to be protected-and held with gloves close to their hearts! if you polish a stone it shines-if u cut the stone, and its not done carefully-its worthless.

Hitting children is not important…..what really matters is polymers found on shofaros imported from China.
