The new law is an update of the Law on Work and Rest, which has been amended to state that workers will be able to take bathroom breaks “according to their needs.”

Break time cannot be deducted from work hours, the law says, and employers are required to ensure easy access to bathrooms for workers.

if they passed this law, I assume it was a problem that some owner did not let workers go to the bathroom and or deducted time. shame of the people who created the situation so that a law was needed

what did workers do until now? What kind of nonsense is this that now they’re having a law that says that you can use the bathroom when needed?

You may think this is humorous but there are bad bosses here just as there are in other countries. I also have just heard of a case that a woman student in a Michlala in Bnei Brak does not allow her students to leave the class the entire lesson- and some of these women are married and could be pregnant-so maybe we need a law for schools as well.

It’s obvious none of you have ever worked on an assembly line or other blue collar job. If you work on an assembly line, you can’t just pick up & go to the bathroom whenever you want. You need to make sure someone is there to cover your position or the whole line has to stop. And that’s here in the US

In 2009, does there exist such a thing in a so-called democracy? Didn’t think that could be. Maybe they think they’re in school? How disgraceful and denegrating!
