The fight broke out between a group of haredim and a group of orthodox Jews, and was apparently related to a bench on the street.
The two casualties were evacuated to the city’s Sha’are Tzedek Hospital in light condition.
Police were scouring the area for those who started the fight.
Don’t understand. Is’nt a knife Muchzar if carried in the street…..why would anyone be carrying a knife anyway?
“The fight broke out between a group of haredim and a group of orthodox Jews”
This line from the story says it all. Even the media now treat Chareidim as some lunatic fringe of yiddin separate from other normal orthodox yiddin. The fact that they are now attacking other normal frumme yiddin means we may have reached the point where consideration needs to be given to isolating Charedim from the rest of klal yisroel, perhaps by moving them all to newly created cities for them in the Negev or other locations where they can do no harm (other than to one another).
This would have been unthinkable 25 years ago. Give these people education, jobs, responsibilities, and their Torah will protect them from this.
Why were they benching on the street?
i would assume they meant a bench. as in sitting on a bench. and not bentching
Very poor journalisem no proper facts to this story in any case to all those self hateing jews replying to the protest article today in Ramot there are no hareidi of this sort
Anytime some guy who is a lunatic who are drugged out do something wrong ,they are called Chareidim because they wear a white shirt
its easier to be a jew in monsey then in israel!!
