The kosher pizza “Palermo,” which comes with cheese, mushrooms, olives and bell peppers, will certainly make regular customers out of anybody who tries it. The pizza comes frozen and is sealed in plastic wrap and then packaged in colorful designed boxes. The pizza contains only kosher ingredients and the bakery where it is being produced has been made kosher according to the highest standards of Jewish law.

The cheese and milk products used in making this pizza are “Chalav Yisroel.” A number of the raw ingredients come from Israel. The flour for the dough is sifted with a special sieve to prevent any presence of insects in the finished product. The seasonings are also examined to assure that there is no presence of insects.

The pizza is backed up by a kosher certificate issued by the Ukrainian Kashrut Committee and a seal from the committee’s chairman, Chief Rabbi of Donetsk Pinchas Vishedsky. In addition to the pizza being “Chalav Yisroel” it is also “Pat Yisrael.” This means that a Jewish person was involved in the actual baking of the pizza.

OK. so pizza is now available. What is also available is the most vikciuosly anti-Semitic people in the world. So, I guess if you have pizza, it’s not so bad.

Jews should leave the Ukraine. There is no worse country for them.

Learning torah in a mokom which is drenched with Jewish blood is a neveirah. There are pleny places which one can learn torah and where it was not a slaughterhouse of Jews aided by the local population. Don Abravanel issued a cherem on Spain unfortunately cholov yisroel and kosher pizza wins over Chmielnitzki ‘s progrom and Petljura and the Nazi UkraInian auxiliaries. This is not torah this is amoratzes of history

#15 - where does it say that learning torah in a makom drenched with jewish blood is a aveira??
so you think that noone in Ukraine should learn torah bec. there were people slaughtered there? The way to get back at the Ukrainians is to show them that no matter how hard they try to get rid of the jews it won’t happen. we will only grow stronger and that is by keeping the torah and spreading the beauty of torah to all the jews in Ukraine

There are thousands of Jewish People living in Ukraine who are learning about their Jewish Heritage and benefitting from the Chabad Shluchim who are dedicating their lives to make sure ALL JEWS in the Diaspora can learn Torah and Mitzvohs. Baruch Hashem, the Shluchim and their Children can now enjoy Pizza. They and their parents have such mesirus nefesh to live there. You are all clueless and jaded. You have it so easy and you have no idea about anything outside your narrow minded world. Open you your heart and your mind.

It’s Unbelievable how much sinas chinam there is on all these websites and blogs. It is shocking ! Even a nice positive story about kosher pas yisroel choliv yisroel pizza makes it’s way back to a country that for years the light of yiddishkeit was dimmed and even extinguished chas vshalom, can be twisted by the commentators so they can squabble and continue to show a lack of ahavas yisroel and simultaneously make a great chilul hashem. Yidden you need to start viewing Your fellow Jews in a positive light. Find their zechusim. Don’t go looking for what’s wrong focus on what’s right.

a lot of European countries suffer from lack of good standard kosher food, they don’t have much meat or cholov yisroel products, they need to import a lot, it costs a lot and they don’t really have the choice but to eat the little diversity of food they have… and we need to support these Jews, sounds like lots of people here live in Israel, USA and England… easy for all of us to speak and “don’t care” about a cholov yisroel pizza… but think twice and just go there on vacation and you’ll see how you struggle to find kosher food… image those living there…
    some people here sound selfish…

Besides for chabad doing great work in Ukraine, Kiev has a flourishing community that Rabbi Bleich built up. They have a girls and boys day school, a yeshiva with a kollel and classes for adults. How could you say people should leave ukraine and come work in US? Do you know how much yidden from Ukraine became frum?
keeping kosher there is not easy, Do you know how excited the frum local families get every time theres a new kosher item out to be bought? yes, there are people there eating only chalav yisroel.
