The telephone poll of 1,500 likely voters found only 44 percent said they somewhat approved of Obama’s performance, a new low in his 11-month presidency. A majority of voters, 55 percent, said they disapproved of the job Obama was doing.

The lowest his approval rating had fallen before was to 45 percent, once in early September and once in late November.

Opposition to health care reform championed by Obama remained stable at 56 percent, the poll found, with just 40 percent in favor of the legislation.

Still a shocker only 44 percent realize obama has no clue what he’s doing. Hopefully more will wake up, and his numbers will fall even more!

By abolishing medicare instead of health care reform all the fine conservatives on this website of course would wide open their homes to disabled parents, grandparents and other sick relatives. By eliminating socialist social security payment to foreign country [i.e. Israel] we would eliminate a large Embassy staff in Tel-Aviv but we should not abolish bankrupt Medicare since all these erliche nursing home owners would be deprived a big income and tzedaka would drop. I am sure governor Palin who watched Russia from Alaska has of course an answer to Al Queida .

I must say that as unhappy as I am with obama, I am more unhappy for the republican party for just opposing him and making sure that nothing gets done. Quit waisting time criticizing obama and start legislating!

People find faults in others that they find in themselves. George Bush left office with a 22% approval rating, one of the lowest in modern history; we heard not a peep out of the right-wing back then. The right-wing fixation with Obama’s day to day poll numbers are mere projection and nothing more. It never works. Obama’s number are almost perfectly parallel to Bill Clinton’s, who likewise inherited a horrible economy and huge deficit from another Bush. Between January of 1993 through 1995 Clinton’s polling numbers ranged between 42-50%, and as the economy eventually recovered, so did his numbers, moving up to 68% in 1998. These times are no different. As the economy recovers — and it will, Obama will get all the credit for the recovery and his polling data will reflect that. So, all you right-wing hacks enjoy the twice-as-high-as-Bush-poll-numbers while you can, stock up on your guns, gold, and paranoia, and print out this comment, for history always repeats itself.

Smart moves in Obama’s first two years. The next two, he’ll be busy pleasing us to get re-elected. Then Uch-Und-vey!

suprising that we voted for a democratic pres. that he should look for the ppl of his country in u.s.a. they should have a good living, meanwhile, millions of ppl. are jobless
because our past president didnt take care the right way of closing up the import 50-25 percents that our ppl of this country could have, the businesses and jobs. Ppl. are going around crying not knowing where to turn for help. and our president is busy helping the entire world beside his own ppl. from the united states. I’m sure if he will bring back the businesses to the united states, his rate will go up drastically!!

He is a good president, but his Anti Israel stance despite unshakeable-bond rhetoric trumps all.

He cannot be allowed to be re-elected.
