In a report released Thursday, New York state Inspector General Joseph Fisch says the misconduct by Garry Veeder, who worked at the Forensic Investigation Center, went undetected for years because of “shoddy” supervision.

The office says 44 district attorneys will have to review criminal cases that included findings by Veeder. The exact number of cases wasn’t immediately available.

Veeder committed suicide in May 2008 during the inquiry.

State police say the violations are alarming and the agency will hire an outside expert to audit the lab.

While we must remain appreciative of some of what the secular justice system does, we deserve to see that it has its flaws. The only perfect justice is that which is Divine. Our Batei Din are far from perfect (even Moshe Rabbenu could not find “son’ei betza” to serve as dayanim). This report is just one of the imperfections of the secular system.

No one is perfect, but this is corruption in the first degree. And believe me, the only problem here is that they were caught… Because this is what’s going on everywhere, in all levels of government.
