For a third straight day, Democrats mustered the 60 party-line votes needed to keep the healthcare bill on track for passage on Thursday over unified Republican opposition.
That will set up potentially tough negotiations to iron out differences with the House of Representatives, which approved its own version on November 7.

The begining of the end for what was once a great prosperous nation…what a shame…I hope all those that voted in obama realize what they caused…:-(
can someone compile a list of these Democratic senators who are up for re-election in 2010, so we can vote them out of office. And you might as well do 2011 also so we cleanse the senate of these guys.
hashem yishmereini, hashem should help then by the end this bill shouldnt pass,
The first two comments pretty much sum up in short all future comments 😉
The whole thing is a bluff. You excited people don’t know what you are happy about.
You will be paying for your care and getting what the government, to whom you are but a number wants. They will decide if you are sick or not and when to see a doctor or not. But the hotshots who are telling you this is good will go to Mayo Clinic with their foreighn socialists do with your tax money. Before getting excited try getting a copy and reading cover to cover. Listen to talkshow hosts and you’ll start thinking differently. Most senators who voted in favor did not even read this bill. The person in Washington claims he has his own insurance so it doesn’t matter to him. Yet, he wants to run your life. Wake up and smell the coffee!
did any senaters ever read the whole bill?

That is exactly what scares me.
And what do you know? After 1 year in office and with a fawning media, Obama’s approval rating is now lower than Bush’s was–when Bush left office and had endured 8 years of a hostile media.
The American people are sending a clear message to our elected leaders. The message will not be forgotten come mid-term elections next year.
