The city’s Department of Environmental Protection announced the initiative Wednesday. The money will help landowners pay for permits, planning and labor for riparian plantings and other improvements. Many of the stream banks were damaged in floods over the past six years.
For more information about the program, residents should visit www.CatskillStreams.org/CSBI. The application deadline is Feb. 1.
