Police said they had not charged the driver as of Thursday night. ?
Why not? Unless he was on an emergency call and had his sirens working, this guy should be charged. Forget about crossing a double solid line. He also passed a stop sign recklessly.

This is assault with a deadly weapon and the Skvere pig that did this should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. I hope he sits in jail a long time. This was a selfish “yid” being reckless woth other people lives because whatever he had to do was more important than life. Give him plenty of time in jail to think about what a beheime he is and do teshuva.

I Hope this driver gets charged and loses his license. He may be a Heimishe yid but without a yiddish heart.

I do not comprehand the need for this language. while I agree that charges need to be filed for the infractions of the driver. but don’t blame police before you know the facts. neither you nor I know the details. jumping to conclution from the written word that may or may not be accurate is not very intelegent

This happens all the time; people became so used to driving like animals that when something happens everyone is like how can he do this putting other people’s life in danger not to mention him self but the next day you see the same thing all over again STOP DRIVING LIKE ANIMALS !!!!! . I live in Bough Park and if some one where to record the driving that goes on here you would think that this is a raging bloodthirsty city that can make your skin crawl but then out of the car steps a man in his mid thirties hey he looks normal that’s how the scene is every day people are texting people have no regard for other drivers they do not signal and go-d forbid if you want to park
I think its time the people start acting like the kind good hearted nation that we really are.
    May god watch over us.

It happened to me! In New Square recently a 7 year old boy ran in to my car, Thanks to Hasahem I was speared the agony nothing happened to the kid (I was driving 20 mph) the kid was taken to a near hospital to be check out, when the police arrived a kid ran into the police car missing him by a inch.
I later observed the activity in New Square and was dazed to see kids all over driving bikes into the road not paying any attention to the traffic, adults jaywalking without paying any attention to the traffic.
After my incident I asked several activists in the village to please alert the kids that running into the road and jaywalking is dangers! the answer was yah yah we know it’s a problem and Nothing was done, bottom line the kids are recklessly running into the road all the time, and my guess is that nothing will be done to avoid future accidents

Isn’t it obvious that the story is not so clear cut and is not as it sounds. Obviously he didn’t get a ticket or charged of any crime because there was no crime committed. Maybe his brakes failed?! No one knows, and the ones that do are not here writing anonymous comments! Be dan l’kaf zchus, and daven that the child should have a refuah s’laima.

really sounds like bad driving. If the police are holding the car I would be assured they are investigating.

This account is based on a deranged eye witness. In fact this is not what happened at all! The driver stopped at the stop and was driving safely. That is why he was not charged. So stop accepting every at face value.

The driver must be a young Shvitzer! His license must be taken away from him for a year!!

The drivers car and license were taken away from him. The kid did not rush into the street. He was walking with his mother and the car in the front had motioned for them to cross the street. He sent the little boy flying 20 feet. The driver did admit in Yiddish to “not having geduld to wait for the other cars”.
