Attorneys at Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine said they had filed a lawsuit in Colorado federal court against Toyota Motor, on behalf of a Lakewood, Colorado, man.
The attorneys allege the company “has known for several years about the unexpected acceleration problems that recently led Toyota to temporarily stop selling and recall many of its most popular models in the United States.”
The lawsuit seeks a monetary recovery for all Colorado residents who own the affected cars, they said.
I am waiting for the manure to hit the fan & it comes out that the govt was blowing this way out of proportion due to the govt ownership in Obama Motor Corp, Chrysler etc. Talk about being VERY no’gaya b’dover!!
Just wait because the libs will have their day.
Here we go… It didnt take long….
i rented a brand new corolla in 2009 and drove it over 1500 highway miles all around california with no problems whatsoever. really has anybody here had a problem with their toyota?
Here come the excited predatory tort lawyers thankful that people died.
What’s going to happen is Toyota will probably settle with the few families of the people that died, for close to a billion (leaving the lawyers with a 1/3 of that).
Toyota will have to also pay for “Green Driving Initiative Programs” and other miscellaneous pork barrel programs that the government can think of.
For all you other millions of Americans that own Toyotas – Sorry no quick buck for you. Someone has to die first in order to get any money. Those are the rules.
“What’s going to happen is Toyota will probably settle with the few families of the people that died, for close to a billion (leaving the lawyers with a 1/3 of that).”
All class members will then get a check in the mail for $100 for their “pain and suffering”. Message received is “Enjoy your burger; the fries and Coke cost extra.”
