Dor Gur (23), who was trekking through the Garhwal Himalayas, got the shock of his life when he was tracked down on February 17 by the police at Dodi Tal after Army intelligence received signals of the use of a satphone.
Gur was arrested under the Indian Telegraph Act.
After an Israeli embassy sent a team to assist Gur in Uttarkashi he was released on bail on Monday on strict conditions to remain in India until he stands trial Mar. 2 2010
The family has set up a Facebook profilethat has generated already more than 2,500 members, to help influence the Indian government to drop charges against Gur.
Hey Mendy Katz, are you going to start a campaign to free this poor Israeli from Jail in India for doing NOTHING or is your help soley limited to MURDERS of Police Officers.
Was he arrested because it wasn’t a kosher phone?
Sadly, ignorance of the law does not mean he is innocent.
This is the kind of sickness people get from overdosing on curry!
Now u all bastards say that he needs to be executed b/c he violated indian law
Id love to know what the penalty would be in India for talking on the satphone while driving and accidentally killing a cow.
DEATH!
But he got the phone from a 7-11 store.
was he calling the mosad office in Dubai?
Non kosher cellphone in the land of Indian Sheitels while humming a LIPA tune. Oy Vey. What u need is a yoshon bagel and Smoked Salmon Lox and all will be swell.
