Marlborough, NY – The Ulster County Industrial Development Agency has awarded the Town of Marlborough a $10,000 grant to conduct a feasibility study to expand the town’s municipal water services to the Kedem Winery operation. The project would include a two mile long water transmission line for Kedem, which employs over 50 people.

IDA Chairman David O’Halloran said without the needed water source, Kedem could potentially move its operation back to its headquarters in New Jersey.
The winery has plans for a major expansion that would create 75 jobs and result in a more than $5 million investment, said IDA CEO Lance Matteson.
Town Supervisor Christopher Cerone said Kedem is a “valuable business” and the potential expansion of its bottling facility would have a major impact on the town.
The study is underway and expected to be completed by the end of May.
I’ll drink to that! L’Chayim!!
I tought they only use yidden for workers
Maybe Mehadrin in Exter,PA should consider moving their plant too. Instead of getting harassed about wastewater, the town will build them pipelines.
Moving back to NJ? So they want to be mechadesh yemeihem k’kedem.

#3 great one liner!
I always buy Kedem wines to support them and my Shabbos table. $3 a bottle per case. Yashar Koach Kedem. Good afordable kiddush wine. I believe in real traditional kosher kiddush wines. I don’t think the move to expensive wines is good for Yidden. It’s kimat k’gavnas haAmim with their love of expensive yayin nesach.
