Police say the vandalism was discovered Saturday at the Oakland Cemetery by a groundskeeper who found nine headstones had been overturned or broken. Investigators report no suspects.

A group of students from Louisiana State University-Shreveport had been working with a historian to catalog the graveyard. One student – Blake Lee – says that because of the size of the monuments, they would have been difficult for one person to knock down alone.

Most of those buried at the site died around 1873 when an outbreak of yellow fever killed a quarter of Shreveport’s residents.

And this is a Chidush because? This takes place all over the world, wake up Yidden we really are not liked by the Goyim (BTW can I use that word or is it supposedly derogatory) anywhere in the world, we are tolerated, marginally accepted only when it is to the benefit of the Goy.

Where were these protesters protesting the graves in gush katif? Its all political. Where are they in NYC when various vaad’s play games with the kevarim as well.

Its just an excuse to be burning stuff. Just buy the kids game boy’s and they will have something to do.

I find it interesting that Shreveport had a Jewish community in the mid-late 19th century
