Less than a week after the NYPD began using a new computer system to eliminate ticket “fixing,” the department’s top doctor boasted to colleagues that he had found a special cure for the parking summons and towing bill he’d just received — a higher-up pal who fixed his ticket — a well-placed police source told The Post.
Dr. Eli Kleinman, the Police Department’s supervising chief surgeon, told coworkers that Charles Campisi, the head of Internal Affairs, took care of him after his car was towed for illegal parking on July 26, the source said.
Kleinman and a police spokesman declined to comment.
Big Deal. You really thought if the Ray Kelly – or any other high ranking official – were to get a parking ticket, that it wouldn’t be “taken care of”? C’mon anybody with a brain knows that’s how the system works, and actually should work….
Fixing your tickets, when you’re a member of the police department is crooked. Boasting about it is stupid.
The head of corruption fighting Internal Affairs actually fixing it is most stupid.
I agree with #1 . Rank hath it’s privileges.
This is so ridiculous what is the big deal the guy holds a high ranking position and cannot even enjoy any perks companies usually provide special discounts or perks to their employees what is wrong with that the nypd shouldn’t be any different.
Hello people, he’s a cop!
Maybe he was working on police business and wasn’t supposed to get the ticket and towed to begin with and so he had it corrected and just told collegues that the situation was corrected or ‘fixed’.
This sounds like a bunch of nothing.
They’re supposed to lead by example. If they can avoid paying tickets why should the average John Doe pay for their tickets.
