A man who was killed in the crash was identified as a volunteer with the ZAKA rescue organization. He was identified by friends from ZAKA who had rushed to the scene of the crash in order to provide assistance.

Dozens of people were wounded, including pregnant women. According to initial reports, the dead and wounded were all passengers aboard the minibus, while those aboard the train were unhurt.

The accident appears to have been caused by the driver of the minibus, who witnesses say drove onto the train tracks when the warning lights were on. A guard stationed along the tracks relayed a warning to the driver of the oncoming train, but he was unable to stop in time.

Three military helicopters were called to the scene to help care for the wounded. Police have shut down part of Highway 353 and are asking the public to avoid streets around the site of the crash in order to allow emergency vehicles to quickly access the area.Kirayt Gat accident

Stolin, Ger, litvish, chassidish, Neture Karta, Dati, Chiloni!!! I don’t care from what background they were and where they belonged! Every Yid that gets killed or tragedy strikes should hurt Klal Yisroel as a whole! Everyone in this world is here for a reason. We don’t know even slightly Hashems reasons and ways.
I was telling someone about this story and he asked me: “was there any frum people on the bus?”
So I asked, “wht difference does it make?”
he stopped for about 30 seconds before he tells me as follows. “You know something? I never thought of it that way. Every jew is a jew in g-ds eyes. No difference if they’re frum or not, and that’s the way we should be looking at it. If hashem does it then we have to do it. the same thing goes with all the mitzvos. Every mitzvah that Hashem gave us, he does those things himself. The same with the mitzvah of ahavas yisroel.”
I hope this will encourage people to look at thing differently or at least try to think of it with an open mind. If we could have achdus between klal yisroel as a whole, not just frum people, and for sure between the people we know, then klal yisroel will be a power and a force just like hashem wants and the umos ha’olam would not be able to break us and will have respect for the chosen nation. May we be zocheh to the shofar shel moshiach in our times. When we can all say out loud with the whole world watching and with the true feeling “Shema Yisroel Hashem Elokeinu Hashem Echad”!! “Baruch Sheim Kevod Malchuso Leolam Vaed”!!! And the whole world will shout together “Hashem Hu Haelokim, Hashem Hu Haelokim!!!!!!!!”
To all those that are injured may you have a refuah sheleima, and to those who lost a family member, know someone that did, know someone that was lost their life and all of klal yisroel, “Hamakom Yenachem Eschem Besoch Shaar Aveilei Tzion Yerushalayim. Umocho Hashem Dimah M’al Col Panim!”
Gut Shabbos to all of klal yisroel!
Your friend from brooklyn, always and forever, with love peace and harmony.

There have been too many tragedies in Klal Yisrael, just in the past few months, for us to ignore. We must step up our Avodas Hashem!

Which report said that? Please, do you really believe that these erliche people would hire an Arab bus driver to take them to Kivrei Tzadikim. Let’s not talk about them. It is better to just say tehillim for their neshamos and ask Hashem to not give us any more tsoris like this one.

The Driver is a Jew, lives in the Family’s building. The poor guy survived.

Hashem is not telling us to stop talking in shul, to be more tzniusdik, to learn more, to talk loshon horah less. Hashem is telling us TO OBEY TRAFFIC RULES!!!!!! I remember years ago when a girl was killed in a bus accident everyone was talking about how we can’t talk in shul and the Hamodia ran a letter to the editor that said “it happened because we were negligent with car safety!” If you run a red light and get injured, don’t blame other people’s tznius.

Further to comment #15 , the Gemarah says that everything is in Hashem’s hands except for people getting colds. MEANING since it is in someone’s hands to prevent getting a cold, it is their fault if they get sick (and not because women are not tznius enought). SO TOO it is in our hands to ensure the saftey and wellbeing of our passengers and we must take care to drive carefully and obey traffic laws (and if someone disregards the law, the deaths of the passengers are not the fault of non-tznius women, but of the one who broke the traffic law).

Any person with an ounce of brains know that for the sake of safety you have to stay away from the “Chaperim” which are minivans which charge slightly lower than Egged and drive like total maniacs on the roads.
