Washington – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas says he will work hard to try to strike a long-lasting peace deal with Israel, but that Israel must agree to a full freeze on all its settlement activity in Palestinian territories.

Abbas also is calling for the release of all Palestinian prisoners.
Appearing at the White House on Wednesday evening, Abbas said he recognized the “the difficulties, challenges and obstacles” ahead. But, he said, people of the region are looking for peace and justice for the Palestinian people.
He followed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in remarks before a working dinner hosted by President Barack Obama.
Abbas and Netanyahu will hold the first direct Israeli-Palestinian peace talks in nearly two years on Thursday.
Bibi I don’t hear you. Why don’t you make demands from Abbas YM”S and let’s see if he will be able to do them.
Why everytime we start talking peace there are demands from Israel, isn’t there 2 sides when you make peace?
Bibi don’t be a scary cat, Obama’s ratings are down and the Dems will be losing both houses. Take advantage now. Make demands for peace.
ha ha just love the pic.
I never understood this settlements thing. what if i thought canada was my land. G-d told me that i can own parts of canada so im gonna build there – they would kick me out. Israelis think its their land so they start building there – i hope they do freeze all this illegal settlements. itswrong and clearly not helping out the peace process
notso, your analogy makes absolutely no sense. esther
How about a headline like…
Washington – Israeli Leader: Palastinians Must Stop killing Us
Why not ask the same in return? A freeze on all palestinian building and a release of all Israeli prisoners for starters? Then we want all the Palestinians to leave all the Israeli determined bounderies.
