A fire on the tracks in the tunnel between Manhattan and Brooklyn has caused a heavy smoke condition at the 1st Avenue Station.

Fire officials say an MTA worker suffered an asthma attack and was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital.

The fire broke out at around 9:30 a.m. and heavy smoke continued to pour out from the station more than one hour later.

According to the MTA website , customers can use trains at the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue Station or at Broadway Junction.
