A federal judge ruled Thursday in favor of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and Value Recovery Group and against brothers Sholom and Tzvi Rubashkin (tee-AHTS’-vee Roo-BASH’-kin) and their father, Aaron.

The family owned the Agriprocessors plant in Postville, which was sold after a 2008 raid in which 389 illegal immigrants were detained.

The $2 million covers a $300,000 loan the Rubashkins received from Omni National Bank, interest on that loan and equipment leases with the bank. Omni sued to collect the money before it collapsed last year. FDIC was appointed its receiver.

This is mighty sick. This proves without a doubt that the country (governmentally, speaking) has become much more anti-semitic under Obama.
Yidden, please have Passports ready and available. If there is a double -dip recession, out of control inflation (hyper, style as ww2 Germany, or recent case Zimbabwe), Obama will blame “the bankers” (which is code for “the Jews”).

Rubashkin should sue the US government for destroying and bankrupting their business as well as the livelihoods of hundreds of people.

Perhaps the Associated Press (the originators of this story) could explain how to pronounce “Sholom” and to correct its suggested pronounciation of Tzvi?

More to the point, why clutter up a story with such inanities?

Madoff’s creditors were able to seize all his stuff and auction it for millions of dollars, but the Rubashkin family does not own any bling.

Even if they waited 27 years, they would still have to wait till they could earn the money honestly, you need some to eat, (live on) but we do not expect the gov’t to understand that!!

To #4 - What did you mean when you stated “Yidden, please have passports ready”. We are not going to flee from the USA. Many Yidden fought, bled, and died for this country in numerous battlefields all over the world. Yes, there are still problems here, but the solution is not for us to leave, but rather to stay, and make a better America. This is not Germany in the 1930’s. There were those, who predicted that there would be physical retaliations against the Yidden, if there was an economic downtown. P.S., it never happened!

If he was imprisoned for his wrongdoings how can they ask him now to pay? if he would have paid up he wouldn’t be jailed.
And What does bankrupcy mean? and who caused his bankrupcy? Aren’t there businees that go under even on their own where they are not required to pay back. they already took away all his properties, and took away his business what else do they want? of course this is go far and beyond any regular case. whoever doesn’;t see this is just bec. they hate the rubashkins.

The danger with some of the postings is that they raise the spectre of antisemtism where there is none . It is Obamacare death panels. The Rubashkin family has had quite a few runins with the law and of course they are all antisemetic persecution. The verdict was issued by a U.S. court and not a kangarroo court. Your postings are dangerous because the distort the true issue. Don;’t forget the sheluchim are not lawyers and summoned by a court don’t be arrogant.

It seriously boggles the mind how everybody has an opinion as to whether Rubashkin is guilty or not… the US govt is seriously guilty of charging him with a case that doesnt hold water… the original case was based on the illegal aliens which he was found not guilty on and the rest of the case should have been dismissed after the not guilty verdict. Please bear in mind that they would probably not have defaulted on the bank payments or be forced into bankruptcy had the US Govt not forced them too….the govt forced the hand and then calls it fraud. It’s a nasty trick they pull way to often and unfortunately when the govt is on to you they dont like to lose.So yes Sholam Rubashkin should not be sitting in jail for something that he should have been cleared for. It’s frightening that even though most of us dont know every detail of the case so many are eager to state that he is guilty as charged.
