New Jersey – The Pulaski Skyway, along with other Holland Tunnel connectors, I-78, and Route 139 are among roads slated for much needed repairs over the next five years using money meant for the cancelled Trans-Hudson rail tunnel project.

“What you have here is a plan that is fiscally responsible, that will not burden over the long haul our children and grandchildren with extraordinary debt payment, and will address the needs that we have,” says New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Christie says no tax or toll increase is needed, but says the infusion of the ARC tunnel money will allow for more repairs by using less borrowing and more cash.
the idea sounds great , however the fed will never let that happen . remember westway and the stripped bass . the city tried to use that money for mass transet and the feds said no.
He would have done better to reduce road usage by building the tunnel.
