But other observers defend the president’s efforts thus far as appropriate in facing the challenges posed by the global trends.

These include violent attacks on synagogues and individuals in France, spray-painted swastikas and desecration of Jewish graves in Germany, and assertions by Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez’s government that “Semitic banks” have been ruining the economy.

One 2010 study at Tel Aviv University found a 102 percent increase in anti-Jewish violence worldwide from 2008 to 2009, including an increase in “coordinated and preplanned” attacks.

One concern among Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans in the last Congress was the speed with which Obama staffed the Office to Monitor and Combat Global Anti-Semitism, which was created by the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act of 2004.

He is pragmatic and understands the tradeoffs involved in assuring that anti-semitic threats are neutralized, He has done more to combat anti-semitism that the often mindless “Israel is always right” mindset of the Evangelical right wing zealots or Yidden who rationalize and excuse everything done by another jew, no matter how corrupt or morally wrong.

Since when is it the problem of the US president to “fight” anti semitism. As if he could?

Obama has not been truly pragmatic in any of the actions he has taken since taking office. Every decision taken has been with direct focus on the ramifications to the political agendas he has. One cannot fault a politician for behaving like one. I find most disturbing that so many of these liberal and socialist moves are draped in the cloak of being needed reforms. We have witnessed numerous negative consequences of his policies, and I have no expectation that his approach to anti-semitism will fare differently. That is the same spin being op-eded by the lib media about the King hearings. King wants to explore the common perception that American Muslims are part of the radicalization (and terror) problem, and if that is true, the testimony will bear that as fact. It deserves to be studied. Not all facts are popular. Obamacare will destroy medicine in US. Not that we do not need reform. I would wish that we could free our elected officials from their political agendas and preferences when they are sworn into office. Then they might just govern for the people, not their political party. Uh, oh. May alarm clock just rang. Wake up and smell reality.

Sorry, when he went to Egypt to apologize for all the other administrations before him for not respecting them the way they should have, he lost all credibility with me, and I don’t trust anything he does or says.

What about the time when Jimmie Carter was President, and his brother Billie Carter stated “The American Jews can kiss my a–“. Jews were concerned with Billie’s dealings with Libya. What did Carter do about his vulgar brother? The answer was nothing. Also, did any of the Jewish advisors working with Carter protest Billie’s remarks. Again, there is no record of any of them taking a stand against Billie.

Chaim, perhaps your adherance to Torah as you see it presents you with the illumination of a sledgehammer to disregard a descriptive structured comment and clap for the embarrassment of another without a counterpoint. Is that torah or did you flunk the class on principles of faith. Thanks.
