The reality TV star said in a statement Monday that he won’t seek the Republican nomination.
He made his announcement as NBC rolled out its fall lineup. The network is home to Trump’s television show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
Trump has been flirting with a presidential bid for months, traveling to early primary states like New Hampshire, and heckling President Barack Obama from afar.
He is the second Republican in a matter of days to say no to a White House run. Mike Huckabee announced Saturday that he wouldn’t seek the presidency.
What a loss. Although he wouldn’t have a chance of winning, his campaign would have pumped millions of dollars into the economy.

The Republicans do not have a serious candidate to run against Obama; in short, they have bupkis.
It all started when no one would announce because they were waiting to see what Palin was going to do. Well she played coy too long and then I believe back room republicans asked Trump to appear as if he was running to defuse the Palin factor. The inside republicans despise her but were afraid of alienating Palin backers from the party if they took her on and told her to pack her bags. It is unheard of that there is no clear front-runner for the republicans at this late date. So in the end, they may have still shot themselves in the foot. Just my opinion.
