Gross was found guilty in March of “spying and subversion” as well as “acts against the independence or territorial integrity of the state.” He is serving a 15-year sentence at a Havana prison.

“There is a pending appeal and it is being considered to grant a pardon or release on humanitarian grounds, considering that his daughter and mother are very sick,” said Supreme Court President Ruben Remigio Ferro.

Ferro said the appeal “will be resolved in the shortest time possible.”

This Jewish man deserves our Tehilim and support as much as the bochurs in Japan.

Cuba is one of the most Godless most intolerant places for Jews and any other person on earth. They are about as skilled politically as an ape in a sludge wagon and they are about as worthwhile at the tables of prosperity as a big caboose sitting on a Chinese Rice Patty. This is the way they do their “independence” and this is the way that their egg castle of communism is built. I suppose that when Fidel kicks it we might all see spectacular changes. But that said, I sincerely hope that our largest Carribean Island has a better day as soon as possible. Its just not a place to call home when you have to worry about property ownership, you can not always leave the country and the only car you can buy or sell on the open “cuban” market is a 1959 Chevy or other 1959 or earlier automobile.
