While Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was downtown saying those responsible for the melee will be held accountable, Bratton met with journalists at the KTLA-TV studios in Hollywood and conceded procedures were not followed.
“I’m not going to defend the indefensible,” Bratton said, adding, “Things were done that shouldn’t have been done.”
“I’m not seeking to excuse it, but as one human being to another, there were things that shouldn’t have been done,” Bratton told journalists. [AP]
