The historic friendship between the United States and Israel stretches from the founding of the Jewish state in 1948 to the present day. Our nations have developed vital economic and security relationships in an alliance based on shared democratic principles, deep cultural ties, and common strategic interests. Historian T.R. Fehrenbach once observed that my home state of Texas and Israel share the experience of “civilized men and women thrown into new and harsh conditions, beset by enemies.”

Surrounded by unfriendly neighbors and terror organizations that aim to destroy her, the Jewish state has never had an easy life. Today, the challenges are mounting. Israel faces growing hostility from Turkey. Its three-decades-old peace with Egypt hangs by a thread. Iran pursues nuclear weapons its leaders vow to use to annihilate Israel. Terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians from Hezbollah and Hamas continue. And now, the Palestinian leadership is intent on destroying the possibility of a negotiated settlement of the conflict with Israel in favor of unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by the United Nations.

While I am a bit leery of Mr. Perry, I can’t disagree with him on this. However , given their constant villification of Israel, and unqualified support of the PA, I would add that the UN and the EU Are far more culpable.

This is the change Obama had in mind while he was campaigning. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t realize it would cost him his popularity and support. OBAMA you bombed. You changed history forever and there is nothing you can do to fix it. You are leaving a true mess for the next president to clean up and I don’t believe he will be able to fix everything all the problems you created in just one term.

What a shame because you had the opportunity to go down in the history books with a true sense of glory “The First Black American President”, paving the way for others. Now it looks like you have ruined it for any other good black american politician who actually has the best intentions for this country and not just his own agenda at heart. You will probably be known as the “Only Black American President” just as “Dinkins” is known as the “ONLY” Black mayor of New York.

Some more non-sense from this idiot, we had G W Bush for 8 years with the “right” policies with the same end results, so don’t blame Obama for Isreal’s problems, our dear president Obama has his plate full cleaning up GW Bush’s fiscal fiasco then to care about Isreal-Palistine

Obama must be scared to death for the day he’ll have to stand before the nation had debate with romney or perry.
