A NY1-Marist poll released Tuesday found 36% of New Yorkers say he’s doing a good job- and 10% rate his performance as excellent. Another 35% rate the mayor’s performance as fair, while 18% say he’s doing poorly. Two percent of those surveyed were unsure where they stood.

The mayor’s approval rating had been hovering around 40% since March. The figure was 39% in an August NY1-Marist poll.

Dr. Lee Miringoff of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion says the mayor’s role in the Sept. 11 anniversary and his handling of Hurricane Irene may be responsible for the uptick.

The survey of 623 voters has a margin of error of 4%age points.

So whats the real number?

When they do these fuzzy numbers polls they are hiding something.

From what I see, he’s got a 46% approval rating. That’s not so good at all!
