New York – The BlackBerry revolution has created a civil war in the nation’s boardrooms – as a deep divide has opened up between those who want to chat away on their PDAs and those who want no distractions during meetings.

According to a poll, 46 percent of people are OK with e-mailing during talks with co-workers while 31 percent think it’s a major break in etiquette.
The survey by Robert Half Management Resources shows nearly 90 percent of professionals say it’s common to break off a meeting so participants can whip out PDAs.
“It happens all the time. You have to wait until they finish, then you have to start all over again where you left off,” Martin Tune, a Manhattan computer professional. [nypost]
Very unprofessional and it’s not polite for someone to take out their blackberry while in a meeting.
