    In his letter Police officer Joseph John Harmon Shield # is 18134 talks of the low paying job that will force him to be homeless soon, and writes “C-P-R are emblazoned on the side of each and every patrol car in the NYPD. It stands for Courtesy, Professionalism, and Respect. What it should stand for is CANT PAY RENT.” [nydailynews]

    do they feel bad when they fine hardworking new yorkers with huge fines they fine people who make less than them with no free easy pass no medical benefits no free anywhere parking no pension they go out of their way to hurt truck drivers who make less than them with no benefits with points and fines

    It’s a Shame for the city for treating officers like this, and they proud them selfs to be the greatest in the country.. I feel bad for all of those officers. I guess the only reason they join the police force is because of the name.

    No wonder why they are having a hard time recruiting new officers, it’s well know that NYC has a shortage and has a hard time recruiting..in fact the last graduation was the least amount of people they ever had in the past.

    We pay so much in taxes but where do they spend it all?

    It’s a Shame!

    he knew the pay when he started if he did not think it was sufficient he should have found another job. i dont see the guys flipping burgers complaining and writing letters to the post
