Gilad Schalit’s captors talked with him and even laughed with him, senior Hamas official in Damascus Salah Alarori said Wednesday morning in an interview with Israel Radio.

“Schalit’s captors treated him well for the majority of his captivity and were not violent toward him,” asserted Alarori, who was a member of the negotiating team for the Schalit deal on behalf of Hamas.

“But Gilad also endured difficult moments when he missed his family,” he added.

The Hamas official told Israel Radio that the IDF soldier was held in Gaza for the duration of his captivity.

Oh, so brutally torturing him 49% of the time is ok?

What about the fact that he was not allowed to speak Hebrew? Psychological torture?
Why is this a good thing that he “wasn’t tortured the whole time”? Geneva convention anyone??? There are rules about captured soldiers, such as allowing the Red Cross in to see them (which Hamas did not allow).

Israel should treat Hamas prisoners the way they treated Shalit, see how they like it.

Wow. So if he only got tortured even 15% of the time… that’s “ok”?

They might have been all jokey-jokey w\him after so many years of him being locked up in there… circumstances such as this can frequently happen between captor & kidnap victim, expecially if the captor(s) are lower-level subordinates, and are just sort of “doing their job”, and don’t have any real personal stake in who they’ve kidnapped. *shrug*

But I bet when they FIRST brought him to the prison… they were unmerciful towards him! And those must be memories that both his body & his mind will no doubt be hard to forget anytime soon!

I’m not saying the IDF are saints… but all of the Palestinian prisoners looked pretty well-fed, sun-tanned, and really “alive” when they were released last week! That tells you they weren’t tortured like Schalit… if AT ALL!

But poor Schalit… he’s a shell of the person he once was in former pictures! His body weak from lack of sunlight, obvious malnutrition… I mean, the list of infirmities goes on for a while! Who knows what he’s been through! Only him & HaShem & his captor(s) truly know.

Bless his heart… I just hope he can find closure & peace now.

Just look at his underweight malnourished body and you know he was maltreated all of the time. Maybe they didn’t kick and punch him every day but I guess that gets boring for the tormentor after a couple of years.

Shalit returned home looking emaciated. He looked like he had been living on the bare minimum food to survive. The Palestinian prisoners were treated with dignity and respect. Many of whom were treated better in an Israeli prison then they are treated by their own oppressive, terrorist government! Anyone who wants to see the “moral” difference between the terrorists and the Israeli government need only look at the condition of the 1000 Palestinian prisoners and Shalit. That should tell you everything you need to know about the Hamas/PA terrorist animals!

He’s saying these things because he was probably told to say it. I bet he was warned if he tells all, the remaining captured Israeli prisoners would suffer the consequences
