Jerusalem – Right-Wing Group Creates Booklet Listing Businesses that Employ Arabs

FILEJerusalem – About 10 days ago, a fish merchant in Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda outdoor market noticed a young man with sidelocks and a skullcap trying to determine which of the stalls employ Arabs. The merchant, Saleh, called the police, who detained the man for questioning on suspicion that he was planning a terror attack.

But the interrogation revealed that Meir Ettinger, 19, had a completely different goal in mind. Ettinger, a resident of the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar and a grandson of the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, said he was investigating on behalf of a project called Hebrew Labor, whose goal is “to warn the public” against buying from businesses that employ Arabs.

Ettinger and his comrades have been working on this project for several weeks now. Their goal is to map all of the businesses in Jerusalem that use Arab labor.

“A booklet with a list of places that employ Arabs will be published soon,” said Moshe Ben Zikri, an extreme right-wing activist from Jerusalem. “That will be followed by hanging up posters and signs with these lists in the streets – just so that the public will know and be cautious.”

Replace the word Arab with Jew, and Jerusalem with Germany, and read the article again. What does it remind you of?

Good. Too many times did we have Arabs employed by Jews carrying out terror attacks.

I think they should take the opposite route, post signs and lists, that people should patronize businesses that employ only Jewish help, the rest will be self explanatory without spelling it out…

When your fighting an enemy who vilifies you, slanders you, incites against you, who wouldn’t mind if every single one of u were dead, who honors and worships murderers who kill you, who boycotts your products whenever possible, what’s so bad by telling jews not to employ them?

As per the suggestion of the first comment: “Germany – About 10 days ago, a fish merchant in Berlin’s Winterfeldt outdoor market noticed a young man with shaved head trying to determine which of the stalls employ Jews. The merchant, Chaim, called the police, who detained the man for questioning on suspicion that he was planning a terror attack.
But the interrogation revealed that Karl Merkel, 19, had a completely different goal in mind. Merkel, a resident of Bavaria, said he was investigating on behalf of a project called German Labor, whose goal is “to warn the public” against buying from businesses that employ Jews.
Merkel and his comrades have been working on this project for several weeks now. Their goal is to map all of the businesses in Berlin that use Jewish labor.
“A booklet with a list of places that employ Jews will be published soon,” said Marcus Heidelberg, an extreme right-wing activist from Berlin. “That will be followed by hanging up posters and signs with these lists in the streets – just so that the public will know and be cautious.”

While there have been attacks on Jews by Arab employees, to go down this racist road is shameful. Jews are better than that.

Almost all Arabs want to destroy the Jewish state and replace it with a Muslim state. That’s not bigotry; that’s a fact.

On the other hand, we must be realistic. One fifth of the population is Arab. A society that discriminates against one fifth of its citizens will eventually fall.

How will it help anything if Muslim Israelis are fired from their jobs? Will they love Jews more or will they have less to lose by attacking a Jew?

Israel has more to lose by having another 20% of its population being unemployed.

Absolutely disgusting. Arabs have worked in Israel since 1948 and the rate of incidence of Arabs who work in Israel suddenly going shaheed while there is not high at all. That doesn’t mean they should all be allowed to work in Israel, but there are already many that do with no record of incident. Almost any of you who have styed in a Jerusalem hotel have had your rooms cleaned by Arabs and have been served by Arabs. I assume you don’t barricade your hotel suites and sleep with weapons.

Jewish mythology: “If we are nice to the Arabs, they’ll be nice to us.”

Jewish reality: “When we are nice to the Arabs, they are NOT nice to us.”

Conclusion: Stop trying to domesticate scorpions.

Two things: The wages these Arab workers earn often go to support terror directly, either voluntarily or via shakedowns. Not all the Arabs employed are “Citizens” of Israel. Many come in on work permits from beyond the so-called “green line.”
Second, Sephardim have stricter halachot regarding the handling and preparation of food than Ashkenazim and we only buy if the hechsher is of a good Sephardi rav. We can’t know what goes on lower down the supply line and have to trust the kosher certification but personally we do not shop in the Supermarkets for anything fresh, i.e. meat or produce, even dairy although that’s been pre-packaged. We buy those items from a small market that employs only Jews.
Arabs dominate some industries and while I would prefer to have Jewish made products, it’s not the problem it is with food.
Israel was given by Hashem to the JEWS and even the modern state was founded as a JEWISH state. We don’t need to include anyone who doesn’t live in peace with us or abide by our laws.

it always boils down to economics the one who gets the job is the one who is asking for the least paycheck the arab is satisfied with a lower wage so both the employer and the employee benefit lets not kid ourselfs.

Jews can blacklist other Jews who have the audacity to employ an honest Arab worker (most of them do not support terror organizations on their very meager salaries) but find a group of bored 12 year olds who have the audacity to spraypaint the outside of a shul and watch us scream bloody murder.
