Lawyer Essam al-Battawi on Thursday also accused security guards at the American University in Cairo of opening fire on protesters. The university’s historic main building borders Tahrir Square, which served as the epicenter of the anti-Mubarak revolt.
Al-Battawi is a lawyer for former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly.
El-Adly, Mubarak, and four top security officers are being tried for complicity in the deaths of hundreds of protesters at the hands of security forces during the uprising.
The six face the death penalty if convicted.
Sad to say, but these ‘yotzis’ are going to believe that nonsense.
Typical Arab rhetoric. Virtually anything can be blamed in Israelis and Americans. Aren’t they embarrassed at being so stupid?
Not too long ago, the Egyptians blamed the Israelis for a series of shark attacks against tourists, at Sharm El Sheikh. According to their insane theory, the Israelis brought the shark to the waters near the above resort, and turned it loose, in an effort to damage Egypt’s tourism industry. There were probably some Arabs, who actually believed that tale.
